Photography I (6755)

Photography I is an art media that, unlike traditional media, is practiced by a majority of people in our culture. Students completing this course will enhance their photographic artistic experience for the rest of their lives. This course will provide a foundation for students who are interested in the camera arts. The course will provide an introduction to camera-less photography, pin hole camera photography, and 35mm photography, as well as art criticism, aesthetics, and art history. The student will become familiar with different applications of photography. They will study photo-journalism, industrial and fine art, and digital photography.

Photography II (6845)

Photography II is a natural outgrowth of Photography I. It is specifically designed to meet the needs of those students interested in continued post high school study or a career related to the photographic arts. Photography II will require greater mastery skills and advanced photographic techniques in working with film and digital images. The student will have the opportunity to develop a professional portfolio that can be used for acceptance or placement in college or career options. All students will also participate in a community exhibit of the work done during the class.

Minimum of 86% in Photography I
