Painting Media (6813)

Painting Media will introduce the student to the basic theory of color and its application in design. Many different color-producing media will be utilized in the assignment work. Emphasis will be placed on effective selection and use of compositional design elements, and the assignments will include reference to art historical background information. Instruction will be in the area of traditional painting media and, where available, the electronic imaging media.

 


Prerequisite:
Successful completion of either Drawing & Design or Intro to Visual Arts / instructor recommendation
