Emergency Alert System Maintenance

Tuesday May 8th, 2012 and possibly Wednesday May 9th, 2012 we will be conducting Emergency Alert System maintenance. Please be aware that several Emergency Alert System tests my go off Tuesday and Wednesday during our test period.

New Set-Top Guide Update

Very early morning on Wednesday May 2nd, 2012, we will be updating the guide version on all Motorola set-top boxes. Updates to the Pace boxes will be implemented in the very near future. At this time, boxes may reset. If you may have any issues after this update with your box not working properly, please call technical support at 724-423-5777.

Major updates in this newer version are changes to the “Search” options and the “DVR” options.

Extended Support Hours!

Starting Monday April 23, 2012, Citizens office will be open from 8:00AM-7:00PM Monday-Friday for pick up, exchange or return of set-top boxes, cable modems, routers, or remotes. Certain account changes, such as changing internet speeds or adding/removing cable features, may also be made at this time.

Please keep in mind the Billing Office hours of 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday and Call-In Technical Support hours of 8:00am-10:00pm Monday-Friday/10:00am-6:00PM Saturday will not be affected.

If you need to come to the office for equipment reasons after 4:30pm, please call 724-423-5777 ext. 1 before hand. Support personnel will be in the building, but the front office will be closed.

Citizens will also be providing affordable PC repair service in office to Citizens customers.

Viewing Penguins Playoff Games

Please be aware that during the first round of the playoffs, national broadcasts of the games may be blacked out so that Root Sports may display the games. Root Sports is displayed on channel 37 and channel 737.

Later rounds of the playoffs, the broadcast rules change and other programmers may have the rights to show the games. Depending on who has those rights, Citizens customers may be required to have digital service or even an additional tier of channels.

You may check out the Penguins, NHL, or Root Sports websites for additional information. Do Not always rely upon the guide information to be correct. If the programmer or TV guide does not update this information, the original scheduled program may still appear.

We are in the process of auditing email accounts that are no longer tied to active billing accounts. This may affect some current customers. If you are having trouble accessing your email or you are having any problems, please call Citizens Technical support at 724.423.5777 promptly. Any accounts that are not corrected will be permanently deleted on Friday, March 23rd.

RFD Channel Has Temporarily Been Moved to Channel 67!

Due to the high volume of calls we have received about the changes to our digital line-up, we have temporarily moved RFD back to analog. It can now be viewed on channel 67. We are currently in the process of making the decision as to if we will keep it on analog and where it will stay, but we will keep you updated with any changes!
